Welcome to Trick or Tail. These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of our online store and to any purchase you make from us. By visiting the store or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the store.

1. About us

Trick or Tail is an online-only store selling Halloween costumes and accessories for dogs and cats. In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Trick or Tail, and "you" means the person using the store or placing an order. You can reach us at any time at support@trickortailpets.com.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. You agree to give accurate and complete information at checkout, including your shipping address and email, and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for any activity under your account or order details.

3. Products and sizing

We do our best to show our products accurately, but colors may look slightly different on your screen, and small variations in materials or finish can occur. Measurements are listed in inches and are approximate. Please measure your pet and check the size chart before ordering. If your pet is between sizes, we recommend the larger size.

Our costumes are made for dress-up and photos. Always supervise your pet while it wears a costume, make sure it can move, see, breathe and eat comfortably, and remove the costume if your pet shows signs of stress. Do not leave a costumed pet unattended and keep small parts away from pets that chew.

4. Prices and payment

All prices are shown in US dollars (USD). Prices and availability may change at any time without notice, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed. Any promotions, such as multi-pet discounts, apply only under the conditions shown in the store at the time of purchase.

Payment is processed securely by our payment providers. We do not store your full card details. By placing an order, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method you provide.

5. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. We may accept or decline any order, including if a product is out of stock, a pricing error occurs, or we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order after you have paid, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method.

6. Shipping and delivery

Our products ship directly from our partner warehouse. Estimated delivery times and costs are described in our Shipping Policy. Delivery estimates are not guarantees, and delays can happen because of carriers, customs or peak seasons. Risk of loss passes to you when the package is delivered to the carrier-confirmed address you provided.

7. Returns, refunds and cancellations

Replacements, refunds and cancellations are handled as described in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Intellectual property

The store's content, including the Trick or Tail name and logo, text, graphics and design, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission.

9. Reviews and content you send us

If you send us photos, reviews or other content, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use, display and share it in connection with our store and marketing. You confirm that you own the content or have permission to share it, and that it is not unlawful or offensive. We may remove any content at our discretion.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the store for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with its security or operation, to submit false orders or information, or to use bots or automated tools to access it.

11. Third-party services

The store may use third-party services, such as payment processors and shipping carriers. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.

12. Disclaimer

Except as stated in these Terms and our policies, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the store and our products are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trick or Tail will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the store or our products. Our total liability for any claim related to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Trick or Tail harmless from claims, losses and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the store.

15. Privacy

How we collect and use your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Trick or Tail is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms removes any rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of the place where you live.
